Does anybody have a detailed thread on converting a 97 LSC to a manual transmission.? Thanks
Thanks. Not really sure, but was thinking of pulling the parts from a Mustang.lots of threads here on the process - are thinking 5 speed or 6 speed. Search you will find info here.
Were the turbo coupe's around in 97?Did you consider a T-Bird super coupe as a donor car. Manual trans, easy to hang a clutch.....Even the ECM might be compatible.
Look on E Bay There is a complete change over to Manuel on 98 Mark.

Not sure, my son had one, do not remember what year it was, it was based on the MN12 platform chassis. Mark viii is based of a modified version, FN10 platform. Were the turbo coupe's around in 97?
I guess the Turbo Coupe's were only from '83 - '88.Not sure, my son had one, do not remember what year it was, it was based on the MN12 platform chassis. Mark viii is based of a modified version, FN10 platform.
Had never heard of them till now. I have a 4.6 liter V8 32 valve motor that the tranny needs to sit behind.Actually, I was referring to the supercharged Essex pushrod V6 motor that made it a Super Coupe. Produced from 89 to 95, It was mated to a Mazda 5 speed manual, M5R2.
