'97 LSC Headlight assembly

Last year I had to replace my right side headlight assembly on my Mark VIII and it cost $750! Now my left assembly has burnt out. Isn't there some cheaper way to replace the burnt out bulb?

Ya, convert to DS2 or something (on both sides). You will not find a bulb. And $750? You got ripped off if it was JUST a bulb you needed, the did retail for $260 each.

I feel your pain...my local dealer (which closed up in 2006) wanted $800+ stating the only way you could get the bulb was via the whole lamp assembly. Got a nice used one , with ballast off eBay for $225.

In 97 the bulb was indeed part of the assembly, but if you ask for 98 they were separate.... go figure.

This hold HID thing pisses me off

Just cut the damn thing out of the housing.

The Mark VIII is the only car I've ever heard of that has any headlight problems.

I would love to get my hands on a set of housings... so if any of you buy housings and just want the bulbs... send me a pm so I can get the housing off you!

I've got a brand new housing if you need one. It's for the driver's side.
