I need to replace my bank 2 sensor 1 O2 and find this task a little troublesome. First is it better to remove sensor from top of motor or underneath car? does the main harness which sensor wire is linked to somehow come lose so that I am able to shift this harness to better attach connector on sensor? I can't get my hand from top of motor in position to thread new sensor in place how is this solved?.

I know this topic has been discussed but everyone has generic answers so I am hoping a detail description with some pics (if possible) may be someone knows dealership method?.

I took my wiper cowl out and disconnected the hood struts and propped the hood near vertical. Then used a 02 sensor socket with longg extension + a swivel and removed it from the top. Taking the wiper cowl out greatly helped disconnecting the connector as well. Probably should thread it in from the bottom.
