I have a 97 LSC that I finally got working. My problem is that when I take it in for emissions none of the tests are complete(took for test 5 times now). I have driven over 300 miles of highway/city from when I unplugged the battery and changed the 02 sensors. It really is frustrating because the check engine light does not come on. The O/D light does come on for the tranny cause the solenoids are going out. Could the tranny light be resetting the ECM or is the ECM more than likely shot.

P.S. The car runs fine with plenty of power but the gas mileage is a little low.

I think you are probably experiencing a situation where the computor is telling the check system that it has not had enough time (cold starts) to evaluate the emissions. The computor has a count cycle it must complete, before revealing any diagnostic info that your emmisions guys are looking for, after a computor reset.

The solution is to keep driving it. If you do a search, I think the code thrown now would be "000", you can see what the number of cycles is and the exact code if this is incorrect.

P1000 is the "drive cycles code".

you can drive 1000 miles and not meet the criteria for drivecycles to be complete
It's based on alot more information that "total time running & Mileage".

Usually drive cycles will clear themselves with normal driving, but SOMEWHERE in your normal driving habits your missing "part" of the drive cycle completion.

Well did the drive cycle and got all tests complete except for the evap system (was 54F here today so should have been good) and now have check engine light for P0411 Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected. I did realize that the test wants you to drive like a granny plus I had a hard time to find a road I could drive 25-45 for a decent distance.
