96 mark viii dash lights

I have a 1996 lincoln mark viii the dash lights all of a sudden stopped working iv replaced the dimmer and the regular light switch the lights power on but go right back off all fuses are good even in the motor compartment interior lights work headlights work everthing besides the dash the button lights door switch lights and heat core lights if you have any clue please lmk asap

Maybe the light sensor has gone bad
I assume you pulled the fuse and checked it
Get the manuals and see what they all have in common.

Would my light sensor go bad and my headlights still come on?

you scrolled the wheel all the way up on the dimmer right? you haven't accidentally dimmed all the way have you?

Nope theres no light at all to the dash lights

Do youknow where the panel is that gives power to all the lights like where the wires lead to on the first gens

I found my problem there was a orange wire behind the radio that was grounding out and turning the lights back off

thats an illumination wire. glad ya found it and stopped it from grounding out.
