ROTM, how are they different? a seemingly knowledgeable mech buddy was recently telling me they were the same, that the mark motor is for a front wheel drive (because the intake is at the back of the motor
Well. Learn something new every day I really don't know much about the wrong-wheel-drive Connies. Never liked them. It just seems wrong to put a V-8 in sideways But like others, I always thought it was just the Mark VIII 4.6 turned sideways. I didn't know the back of the block was different. And how can the Mark engine be "for a front-wheel-drive" when it was never used in a FWD car until they put it in the Connie? The location of the throttle body has nothing to do with the intended use of the engine. I think it was designed that way for hood clearance. But I could be wrong.
