anyone using these? From research i've done the 95 Supercoupe & 96/97 Bird "Sport" have a harder pivot bushing then the regular bird/mark viii and when

Comparing prices -

Mark VIII Lower by Moog - $130 - Rock auto
Thunderbird Lower by Moog - $60 - Rock auto
Supercoupe Lower by TRW $56 - Advanced

Bushings are cute and all, but if those are re-bushed OE Brand they can bend. It would be nice to know what brand they are.

Let put it this way. I have heard so may bad stories on using anything other than TRW/MOOG that I would be paranoid about anything else - no matter the source.

These are TRW parts i'm asking about...for the 95 supercoupe which apparently are also on 96 and 97 "sport" birds as well. Once again, TRW is the only one that makes them...moog doesnt show a listing whatsoever for the supercoupe.

Re read what i wrote. Nowhere did i ever mention re bushed OE brand...lol  :p

Oops, read RIGHT over that! Well if SC is cheaper with a "better" bushing....

FYI, Supercoupe is also a company - which is what I thought you were talking about.

TRW/Moog are the same brand. If you buy Moog they are stamped TRW. Or in my case, with upper, my TRW had MOOG boot seals.

So what the heck is the point of this thread. Seems like a no brainer to me. Go with the cheapest.

ah i see where you got confused

well i wanted to make sure that it didnt have a different size inner diamater on the bushing or something silly like that which would keep me from using it.

...and if it doesnt, it was posted to let you guys know (if you didnt already) that there might be even a better option then the thunderbird lowers.

use all t bird front suspension parts except for the upper control arm (if you still have air ride) to avoid the "lincoln tax"

yeah definitely, thats what i've decided to do after alot of research.

i found a listing for the supercoupe and a few mentions of them, now just curious if they will work and its worth trying to find them or not.

chicken what website did u order your tbird sport suspention from and im converting back to air ride

do they carry kits for the supercoupe on ebay ? so after examing the fron end of my car, I found out that my front control arms are decent looking but the bushings are shot, would i be better of replacin the bushing or the whole control amr in that matter? any advise would be grateful....

you want everything for a tbird, except the upper control arm (if you still have air suspension) our upper control arm has a ball for the ride height sensor

you dont need supercoupe lower control arms, they are harder to find, only made by trw and have a harder pivot bushing

Just order everything for a 1997 Ford Thunderbird except the upper control arm (unless you feel like welding a new ball stud on the tbird control arm or you have coil springs and not air springs)

lux - any picture of your 97 lincloln and order them from ebay or advanced?

ebay sells a bunch of junk, you want moog or trw brand, rockauto.com has the cheapest price on moog and advanced has best prices on trw

i also have 5% discount code good for a month for rockauto if you guys want it

8000k lights are white with a slight shade of blue

You should replace at least anything that has the boot ripped.

Not sure what the grinding is, when does it happen? Turns, bumps, etc? Is it a metal on metal grind, a clunk, or a creak or groan...
