94 mk8 pic

the wheels are fusion onyx i think 20x8. i have 245/35 on there. they have about a 3 inch lip which is what i wanted. I cant wait till its lowerd i think it will fill in the wheel wells more. The inserts are actually still black but will be painted by this spring.

nice car very pretty wheels are to big for me though and you should go to coil spring if your front air struts are new so I could buy them

thanks i prob will end up switching in the future i want to try the lowering first and see what happens.

you might have to roll your 1/4 panels a little so you dont rub after you lower it, ive never done it but many others have

thats one thing i am worried about i dont want to get up to 60 and c smoke rooling from the tires how much drop can u get from sensor lowering it.

you can get alot, but thats not the purpose, most do around 1" to 1.5", i think mines around 1.5" if i remember correctly the hwy height is the same as the park height, so to check for clearance issues id park the car get out and shut the door and the sys should vent to "curb height" then check your clearances

ok thanks for clearing that up i know i have enough clearance its not even close to the wheels at curb height. But what do u think about the kit from american air i have been reading a little on it.

i hear u on that but if it does not work out the way i want i will have to do something. But i really want to keep the air. Mine just seems to be really stiff over bumps not like it should be.

yeah i think i need new shocks on the back bad. but my rims are off for winter and its still rough. I am going to replace the rear shocks when i lower it.

fronts could be binding too, only bad thing is they come with new ft bags, so now is the time to decide if your staying with air or going springs

i just put new bags on the front last year is there any place i can get just shocks for the rear

Buy any shocks listed for a 96 Thunderbird... You will need to remove the Mark rear shock mounts and burn out the rubber and then use the rubber bushings provided with the shocks...

thanks for the insight into that. I would say that would be alot cheaper than buying the lincoln parts.

Yep... same for all the front suspension components...

If you stay on air you will need to buy Mark upper control arms...

i just replaced all the control arms both upper and lower and upper rears some ladie hit me right in the driver side rear wheel when i was doing about 50 mph and bent the rear uppers so i just replaced all of them.
