Has anyone posted install directions for the Climate Control install? I just bought a 95 off of Ebay today for $43.95. In using the search feature I found an LS and a Continental. Jamie, if you're reading this, we talked about it several months ago. I believe you said it takes about 20 minutes. Also Jamie, Ill be calling you regarding some drivers seat motors. I'm having the two front dry rotted seats redone with vinyl in lieu of leather. Right now only the seat expander motor works. Thx. Gary in Elmira.

Many Thx. 93' Blue on blue. Your prompt reply is very appreciated. Still don't know the (secret) to finding things on our search engine. I put in the exact title of my thead and was unable to fid what you did. Perhaps it's that I'm 54 and have only had a computer for about two years. Regardless, I put in our comment/suggestion section as Mespock said to do, that our search feature should be a little easier. It's probably something simple but to date I haven't caught on. Regardless, again thankyou. Gary in Elmira.

You can't search for a whole string.

In other words, you can't search for say, "Take out climate control" because it will give you way too many results. And, unless you're stocked up on coffee (or crack), you'll never find what you're looking for.

One word search strings work best... providing, that is, you can actually spell.

As you can see, 93 just used one word, and worked well for what you were after:

No worries, RedCell. No real secret - remembered Ray having a 'how to' post on climate control, so i typed climate in search, then narrowed down the fields to search titles only and lincoln mark viii.

Thx. Frogman and Mespock and you too 93' Blue on blue. Keep it simple. One word is best. I appreciate your help. Gary in Elmira.

Oh, i forgot. Google can be helpful too! For instance, i just typed ''how do i remove climate control lincolnvscadillac.com'' and it gave me a whole bunch of useful thread links.

Just another search option to keep in mind. :)

I bought the updated version for my 93, works well, but it has 5 bulbs with sockets inside, mine has 2 that are out.
While you have it out, its a good time to see if they work. The cover opens up easily with a flat blade screw driver. You can slide it out enough to leave the connector installed and turn the park lights on.
Bad news is they are $12 bucks at dealer, checking with Maxx for his price.

quick question guys, can I put any year unit in any mark viii?? I just picked up a 94 and the buttons are busted.....my 95 looks a little different...thanks

Those little lights don't burn out, the contacts that join the light to the base get corroded and the connection is lost. They might as well be burned out though! When I saw how much they were I just took mine apart & cleaned the contacts. What A PITA! They worked though.

i put a new one in my car from a 97 conti, works great but a few lights don't work, what did you use to clean them off?
