93' Tailshaft question../speedo question.

I believe where the tailshaft bolt's to the crossmember one of the two bolt holes are stripped. I'm planing to grab a new tailshaft from the J/Y. Are there any special things I need to do to swap em out, also my speedo seems to die at times like when it's hot outside. Is the speedo gear located in the tailshaft?

Why bother with all that? Just helicoil it and be done.

You know helicoils are stronger then base metal?

Is the speedo gear located in the tailshaft?

Yes. It's on the driver's side and easily visible when you are under the car. There is an electrical connector that you have to unplug and the plastic gear is held in by a small retainer clip. SUPER easy to swap out once you get the car up.
