Anyone know of any tech articles including an overhaul of the factory system on a 93? My tweeters were never in the car when I got it, the front speakers are intermittent it seems, they come on when the audio is maxed out, same with the drivers side rear. I'd LIKE to put all new speakers in (decent ones) with a pretty good sub, a new deck, and a new amp, I assume I might as well replace all of the wiring too? I'm not looking to blow the neighborhood away, just myself. I'm not very handy with electrical, but if there are any tech articles out there to be seen ( i haven't really looked yet but I will after posting) I can follow them and get it done.

OR should I just drop it off at a shop? How much more would this cost, if anyone knows. Thanks in advance for any help.

And maybe if anyone has done this, how much it cost, and did you do it yourself or send it out, thanks!

For all new stuff, I'd spend no less than $600 for something that sounds good.

I spent a grand on mine.

I also did the install myself. It's somewhat time consuming, but not difficult.

There are good sites to help with everything you'd need as far as 'how to install' goes.

Sites I found helpful:
http://www.the12volt.com
http://www.bcae1.com/

For finding good components you can look around the ecoustics forum.

a grand will do good. redo all the speaker wiring, i just ran rca's from the headunit to my amps and then new speaker wire from there to all the speakers

oof, I only paid 700 for it. And it still is in desperate need of paint. I guess thats on the back burner for now but thanks.
