9005 to 9145/H10 mod help

then they should work no problem , Ls_Marley has had no issues with the leds I gave him

Ok then, it must be a CYA thing for him. I have the same bulbs for fog and highs that the Gen 2 has.

its really easy , its a couple of screws that hold the headlight in place , take those out and the headlight comes out and you have 4 screws to take off the back cover and then you have access to the bulb

So I would get aftermarket HIDs for just the low beams and put LEDs in the high beams?

these are the same ones I have, and yes aftermarket HIDs ...depending on how much you want to spend they can range from 50 to 250 , I first had DDM in my lows and had issues with flickering ( just a bad experience with mine , a lot of people have good luck with them and they are pretty cheap ) , I switched them for Klight HIDs (German) and they are around 150 to 200 , they work perfect

Yeah, I have DDM in my Explorer and sometimes the driver's side light doesn't come on, I have to turn it off and back on a few times, then it will come on.

these are the ones I got , metal casing , heavy ass ballast , those are signs of a good kit , i cant vouch for that kit you are showing me but it seems like a good kit

Thanks for all your help Ghost_Ls8.
Dkloud216, I didn't mean to hijack your thread, sorry.

wow, can't believe there are people out there still selling HID kits for well over $100... blows my mind, thought everybody had heard of places like DDMTuning. guess not...

Canbus ballast... bwahahahaha. one born every minute...

By all means, if you need to go through "my" door/thread to get an answer, come on in. Mi thread es su thread!
Ghost-you seem to have become the new light guru. Lol

1LoudLs I had issues with DDM tuning in my lows (exchanged them twice and they still flickered on one side ) , I do have DDM tuning in my fogs though, there is still a ton of companies that charge well over 100, morimoto , philips , oracle etc ... I would choose any of those over DDM , Xentec and ebay brands ( all of these are cheap and popular but a majority of the customers have problems with them)

Dkloud216 I have bought pretty much every LED bulb out there (not led kits, although if they build one without a stupid fan in the back I may be inclined to buy em ) , as for HID kits I have owned everything from cheap 30 ebay kits to expensive name brand ones , I still got a lot to learn but thats what forums and youtube are for lol

I've installed well over a hundred HID kits, everywhere from the $300 kits down to the $30 kits. honestly other than OEM equipment, they all look and feel the same. even the best brands have the same problems. OEM components are the only place you're gonna find any kind of real quality. I'd bet that 95% of everything else comes out of the same chinese factories...

I agree with you on that a majority of HIDs come from China , kind of disagree on the build and look of some HIDs kit, comparing my Klight kit with a xentec kit , the ballasts on the xentec are weightless and are made of plastic , as for the klight ones they do weight a couple ounces and they are made of metal so they are 100% waterproof and shock proof, the wires are much thicker on the Klight ones too, also when it came to looks the 5000k xentecs were like a 6000k with a lot of blue tint to it , the klight with 5000k bulbs came to a clean white beam almost a oem 4300k look to it, anyway I agree that oem components are much higher quality than some of these after market kits but most are really pricey
