Ive read on many different forums that this can be done, but with little to know detail, i ordered some LED fogs a week or so ago after a "couple" drinks, thinking i had ordered 9145/H10 ended uo getting 9005, they seemed to fit whenn i slipped them in, they evened "clicked" but no light. I had them hooked uo to an alternative power source and they fired right up so i know the bulbs are good, but just couldnt get them to either fit correctly or somethung im unaware of...so any pics/walk through woukd be great...

Gen II...2005 v8 w/factory HID...but halogen fogs, just doin the led for cosmetic not for lumens

yea I get you , I have LEDs in my high beams and use to have them in my fogs , anyway you said you connected the leds to your car and they didnt turn on ? or they didnt fit in the socket ?

Ya they seemed to fit, they even "clicked" in place but didnt turn on...i i was reading on either the f150 or jeep forums that some filing is required butno specifics or pictures, dont reallywant to ship back and wait just trying to see if anyone here knew about this mod.

Reversing the polarity??? If so, yes sir. I was hoping i could just do something without having to reorder ir buyng an adapter.

Classy autos 68-smd from amazon...now $8 for the pair but still...the description says super bright WHITE but waymore blue...not to sure what happened to the 2nd image either

SMDs LEDs are bad , I have always bought ones that are listed with wattage they produce such as 5 watts, 11 watts and now 80 watts , they were all bright and were a white white color , prices range from 15 to 40 dollars

What do you mean "bad" as in quality, longevity, destroy "hardware"? I knew for the price not to get my expectations too high...for the ones with the listed wattage...is it brighter for more wattage type of thing?

bad in brightness and hardware, usually the small little leds start to go out one by one, and for the watts one here are some examples:
pic one is my old 11 watt on the right and new 80 watt on the left
pic two is are examples of both a 20 watt led in the fogs on the left and 80 on the right
pic three are the 80 watt bulbs
pic 4 are my old 11 watt leds in the high beams, they look like HIDS , I currently have 80 watts in the high beam now and are a lot brighter

haha oh man the married the life lol, sure thing man, lemme know when you are going to buy leds I can tell you which ones are the good ones , I have bought them all haha :shifty:

you want them in you lows ? high ? or fogs ? i have them in my high beams and for Gen 2 the size is 9005

they should fit because I gave my old Leds from my highs to Ls_Marley and he has a Gen 1 and put them in his highs

I have 9005 for the high beams, when I checked compatibility for 02 LS it said no, when I rechecked for 03 it said yes. I would like them for the high beams but I don't want to cause problems where there isn't any.
