I know this is for the classics but i can't find a column for an '81, so i am resorting to the oldies but goodies. I went Mark hunting last weekend and found a 81 Mark VI Fruilio(?) Pucci Edition on a used car lot. Ever heard of it? The car was in great shape except for a couple body dings and very minor rust on them. Heck, even the hideaways still roled up(on there own!) and started on the first try!! It also had a Ford CB radio in it that worked! Any ideas on this edition or any idea on pricing?

Would you believe there isn't a 1981 year listing under Classic Lux cars in the NADA?

thanks torque! The one i found is just like the one advertised in the usedvancouver ad. Only its alot cheaper. Is it worth picking up for 1500 in fair condition? By the way, still looking for your continental here in iowa. See alot of hardtops but no convertibles yet.

After bangin' gears and dodgeing four-wheelers all week? Yes, It would be in my opinion perhaps after a little haggling to drop the price. I don't know who to contact for best weather stripping or seat reskining that would be my only concerns. What a difficult choice to make this coming July...Drive the Mark VIII or the VI "Emilio Pucci" signature edition to the Boscobel meet? Good find!

what are the hard tops going for, specifically 63-66?

Depends on how good of condition you want the 63-66. The hardtops are all over the place in iowa, two doors and four doors. As for Boscobel, Eleanor will have a new look to her with cowl hood, different rear bumper, new wheels, and fresh paint by then. If I have any money left over, maybe buy the Mark VI, put a hitch on it, and pull Eleanor on a trailer up there. What a site that would be!!

Yes that would look very wild.. Mark VI pulling a Mark VIII...

Truckin's car hauler a Mark!! way cool...

It is great seeing people talking about next summer's meet this way.. Keep it up.. My goal is 100 members.

Once everyone finds out how much fun it is to be at these meets...

If you book it they will come.

We'll have to see! If the Mark VI is still there next spring and if i have the extra cash for it. I need to do more research on the car since i don't know anything about it. It'll take alot of convincing for me to get it anyways since i have been leaning towards getting a 2nd VIII.

GenII!!!! Not only are there a couple of good looking guys in the photo but, as a Gen II owner, you will learn the meaning of the proper hand gestures seen in this photo.:headbang:
