Here are the pics of my install, Hope they are helpful to someone out there.

As you can see this was not a direct fit.

Some Modification was in order and I know everyone has their opinion on how they would have done it but this is how I did it and it worked for me!

I also had to remove that bracket that holds this blue module and place it else where, due to this being a true double din.

I Got a wire harnes and I am using the factory amp and componets, i also installed 2 10's in the trunk and electronic crossover, and a 400w amp. Everything sounds great and I'm very impressed with the BlueTooth feature of this d's and anything else you can think of. will post pics of trunk later.

It looks like the bottom is extended outside of the bottom. Is the unit bigger than a typica double din? In my Avic D1 install, I trimmed away at the bottom, and took out the metal bar that acted as a rail for the factory radio. After I put the trim bezel back on mine, I have a cleaner fit.

The Unit itself is a Double din, But the LCD it self does extend to the bottom more than yours due to the fact that this one is a 7" LCD, the Avic D1 is only a 6.1" Screen. I did shave a bit of the top, there was no need to shave the bezel I had the screen slid down when in stalled the trim. over all it looks good ill post some more pic's you you can see how the large the lcd is. Had I shaving the bottom would have done me no good since the screen slides down.

Sweet.. I'm getting a single din unit.. kinda like that.. exept mines durabrand all the way baby!! Lol.. us poor folk can't afford those cd/dvd/ anything you want players.. so wal-mart and durabrand love us.. and make crappy cheap units.. but as long as you keep the sales recipt.. it will be alright!! Lol.. either way.. I love how that looks in the dash.. it actually does look almost stock.. just curious.. how much did it cost?

I only paid $310 for mine, I know is not name brand but Its still bad a$$ and one of the best units I have gotten, believe me With two kids I have a budget too.

whered you purchase it from, thats a good number? my cd player in the trunk is driving me crazy, it's about to catch some hollow tips if i can get my hands on one of those bad boys.

ebay, Brand new in box, search for xovision I beleive is theseller is best_buy555, I was very happy with the purchase and delivery, I got the unit in 2 days after I paid.

my buddy has a real nice flip out piece that i like, spent like 250 for it... touch screen 7 inches no nav though. what are the pro cons vs the two? i think a non flip out looks classy in the car. but you cant put the screen away.. im on the fence

Mine does have nav also, I hook it up throuhg my Blackberry.

Pioneer.. thats name brand to me.. dang man.. I don't use ebay.. plus I like seeing people who I get my parts from.. or atleast talking to them.. plus.. if its broken at a store.. I can take it back and get a new one that day.. durabrand maybe not, but still.. I'm gunna get a pop out with nav.. Just curious.. with cd players that have nav built in.. do you have to pay a monthly fee's or anything to have navigation working?

As opinions go mine's all on the kenwood nav., the pioneer is too complicated for no good reason. Kenwood's set up is so much more sophisticated. As far as off brand units go, Definately not a bargain buying the cheap stuff. You get what you pay for when it comes to electronics. The proven models cost twice as much but last more than 4 times longer.

I am waiting to take out my Double Din Head Unit. My Changer quit working a year ago so I picked up a like new DD Lincoln CD player that swapped right in but I got tired of having to swap normal CD's. That and I kinda hate having my Sirius radio having to FM modulate to listen.

I have 2 IVA D300 Alpines but I don't want to have a flip screen in this car as it has the DD sized opening. So I gotta save up a lil so I can throw in a IVA-W205 DD unit.

Then I can use my Blackbird GPS unit with it. I also loved my D300's because Alpine puts out an update so that they can read a RW DVD with MP3's so I can have a ton of music on one disc. That way I don't even have to put my Alpine changer into my car :D

I thought about trying one of the EBAY DD units but it I just don't think it will have the ability of the Alpine unit and i will just wind up unhappy with it :(
