6 x 8 speakers SUPER CHEAP

screw it... im about to go try and install my bad arse 4-way 6x9 pioneers i already have. is it just drilling new holes? which would be easier to swap those paper speakers with... front or back?
 
Have you removed the door panel to see what you're dealing with yet? I'm not exactly sure how you could get a good seal around the speaker with the way the panel is molded to accept the 6x8/5x7 design. I'm not a custom fabricator though. I'd get a set of components, and add bass with a sub in the trunk...
 
yeah thats not gonna work. i didnt know the rear speakers were in the door. i thought theyd be in front of the rear windshield.

i really want to hook my sub up now though!
seems easy since the batt is in the trunk.
i just have always worked on aftermarket wiring and doubt the crappy stock one even has a sub output. ill wait another month (maybe 2 if my sales dont pick up this month) when i get the rest of my circuit city gift cards for the head unit first.

That's a pretty sweet deal for a dvd AND nav unit.

The original retail on my head unit(Kenwood Excelon DDX7015): $1100
retail on the navigation(Kenwood KNA G510): $900

Of course, I would never pay retail for that. I got mine used, but in great shape, for way less.

Only bad thing I've heard about the avic is it's tough to bypass.

hey pektel, can you tell me how u got your kna-g510 to work with your ddx7015? i have the same set up and just installed the navi unit but i can't get it to show up on the monitor. could you tell me how you did this? im pretty sure it's in the user preferences but i've tried everything and nothing is working. thanks for your help!

You don't select the navigation display by using the SOURCE button. You have to hit the V_SEL button to select the nav.
