4R70W trans on a 4.2L?

will this work? I'm cleaning out the garage and am selling a 94 Mark 4R70W trans. A prospective buyer needs a trans for his 97 F150 4.2L engine. Does anyone know with certainty that it will work?

nope.

they made 4r70w's for the V6 f150, but they have a different bolt pattern.
