did you get 3 speeding tickets in one day????
did you get 3 speeding tickets in one day????
Pretty much. The only 25mph areas around here are mainly residential streets and other places they want you to slow down (or speed traps), so there's not much leeway on tickets written in those zones.Law Enforcement and the Court take a real dim view of going that fast in a residential zone.
So the best I can suggest, is to plead your case to the Judge and throw yourself on the mercy of the Court.
Hey thats a tough cookie. I will give alittle advice if you don't mind. I also like to speed when I drive. My rule of thumb for this is in Residential zones or Schools I drive the speed limit 25mph, on boulevards that say 35-45, yes I do go over anywhere from 5-25 mph, always looking in my mirrors and side streets. On the freeway I can be found going speed limit to 90+ depending on traffic. and I always make a complete stop at red lights and stop signs before going ahead or turning. I have been very lucky doing this. Just alittle advice anyway you would like take. OH!! I also have a Valentine One radar unit in the windshield for help.
Dude, getting pinched in a 25mph zone is pretty bad and you know that if the ticket says 46, at one point, you were really going 55. Law Enforcement and the Court take a real dim view of going that fast in a residential zone.
Normally, I'd say it's time to man up and take your lumps, but speeding in a school zone is one of those offenses where they tend to throw the book at you. I haven't seen a ticket recently, but I know speeding in a school zone around here used to be automatically bumped up to the maximum fine and points, regardless of how fast you were going--when I was in high school, a friend got busted for 22mph in a 20mph school zone (his speedo said 20mph) and his dad had to get a lawyer to fight that one.The tickets have been spread out over the last few years. This one is bad because I was in a school zone. I drive it every day for 13 years, was just hitting the brakes at the school sign. I guess I'll just have to take some lumps this time....Thanks for the help.
