Hey so i found some rims that right size 20X8.5 and right tire size too, BUT most are in the 35-38mm range. I know 40-45mm is best for no rubbing. But i dont really care if it rubs here and there, i have no system i usually always have only 2 people in my car. With a 35-38mm offset will it rub only when im doing tight turns and big bumps, OR will it rub all the time?! Like i said i dont care if it rubs here and there when i hit a big bump, or tight turn. I just dont want it too rub all the time. Pleae help because the rim guy said 35-45mm is what the car can take im just wondering if it will rub all the time if i get less then 40mm.... he said NO. But i rather trust my fellow LS members since most of ya are running 20's as well and no much more then that guy about LS's,.

not recomended 35mm your going to rub most of the time, now by the right tire size do you mean 235/35/20 that will be the perfect size for 20" rims. do a search here most peaple with rubbing issues are the ones with the wrong tire and the wrong offset. the closer you get to the factory offset witch is 60 the better you are.

yeah tire size isn't the problem its the offset. I know 40-45 isn't bad.... how about 38mm?.... will it rub all the time?

38mm will rub more on the big bumps then the 40mm offset. On a straight road 35 will be fine too, but once you start hitting bumps you will get rear rubbing. Try to find wheels that have offset more than 40mm.

AND DON'T ASK THAT QUESTION AGAIN!!!

Ight so hyelife, so 38 will rub a bit more when i hit big bumps, but wont rub all the time... because the roads aren't that bad here....My main concern i dont want to rub all the time

Just get the 38s and roll wheel wells or make some cuts if you run into little problems its real easy..Your cars not lowered so It shouldnt be that bad..

Then you will probably rub with people in the car and on turns like people have said

Sorry for newb question what is the wheel well and is it hard...?
