Good point, Loud. I guess I want to try and make my audio install as theft-proof as possible, but realize that there really isn't a way to totally achieve that. Some of what I considered doing after putting the 920 in were as follows:
1. Getting the cover that suctions onto the face of the receiver that makes it look like a cheap factory CD player. I've seen a couple pics of this, and don't know if it would be effective enough. The cover does stick out a little bit, so an "educated" thief would probably be able to tell that it's a fake cover.
2. Putting a towel over the dash to hide the receiver. Initially, I thought it might look like I'm just protecting the dash from the sun, but quickly realized that it would be more of an advertisement to a prospective thief - "look, I'm trying to hide my audio - come and rob this!"
3. Get some tint on the windows. I ended up doing this, but know that it won't be enough to prevent a theft. I did 30% on all doors and rear window which is definitely illegal in Michigan for the front doors - but am hoping that I'll be alright with it.
