2007 H&R Springs Lincoln MKZ Project

I like the look of the car BUT the wheels are a little too "tuner" for my taste on it and I also dont like the fender grills

I'm pretty sure the MKS is being touted as the replacement for the LS isn't it?

yup... morons... I just read the write-up on the LS and the zephyr...

They are seeing that the V6 LS went away and the V6 Zephyr showed up as "oh that means it's a replacement for the LS6". They then say the MKS is the replacement for the LS8. I'd be interested to know what they say when the MKS is available with two separate engines... Also, when has ford ever replaced one single vehicle with two vehicles of different size and configuration?

What idiots...

Was is the Zephyr that replaced it? Maybe that's what I mixed it up with.

Not exactly; the real replacement for the LS is still on the drawing boards. The MKS is more of a replacement for the Town Car, which is supposed to be relegated to fleet sales once the MKS hits the streets.

Price-wise, the MKZ and MKS will cover the LS's slot in the Lincoln lineup, but they're different cars with different aims than the LS had.

I test drove a MKZ AWD. I was impressed. 265 horsepower, good handling. Doesn't have the torque of the LS v8. No substitue for cubic inches. The interior seemed to be bigger/more room. The trunk is definitely larger in the MKZ. Only thing I didn't like about it. It just doesn't have all the luxury/toys the LS has. Example, power telescopic steering wheel. Telescopic wheel is manual only.

The wife and I are thinking about buying a MKZ AWD in April or May. If I can find a good deal on a BMW 745Li, I will pick that up instead.

The black grille on that MKZ is hot, the stock grille is the only thing I don't like about the styling of the car, but a little paint fixed that.
