I've got an `06 LS Sport that only has 4 speakers in it (the doors). I'd like to add subs in the factory location (rear deck) but I was curious as to whether or not the factory wiring would actually be there or if I'd need to run all new wiring.

Any advice is appreciated.

It depends on your head unit, some are pre-wired for an 8 pin subwoofer connection at the rear. Also check on the side of the trunk if there's a connector/plug for the rear woofer.

I got a 2002 but I think the setup might be the same. My head unit is not premium and there's no 8 pin subwoofer connection plug. There's a connector/plug at the rear trunk which I used to tap the 12v. I ended running the wires from the head unit to the rear. The sub woofer amp (as what they call it) is pathetic.

Cool, thanks LE. I'll have a look for the connector/plug in the trunk. I'm assuming you added in the stock location like I'm wanting to do? If so, what did you go with for speaker size? Did you mount the amp in the trunk?

Thanks again for the help.
