2004 LS V8 Sport - shudder when gear changing (3rd to 4th I believe)

So today the LS (2004 V8 Sport) started an odd issue when accelerating where the car would shudder briefly as it changed from 3rd to 4th gear (I believe these gears only but could have been 2nd to 3rd). Last transmission oil change was in January 2012 and the car has 192K km.

Anybody experience this before? What did it turn out to be?

The issue seems to have stopped for now so not sure if the issue is just developing and will come back and get worse.
