Is the intake manifold on the 2004 V8 a 2 piece part? The top part is plastic while the lower part that mounts to the heads is aluminum. Do the come apart and if so how. I do not want to start prying on plastic and aluminum without knowing if they truly are a 2 piece part. Please help as soon as someone can. We got a big street race this weekend in The Ville and i want to show those rice buckets craps true American/British horsepower.

Why do you want to break it apart?
It is only sold as a single assembly. You can break it apart, but the seals are very hard to come by (Ford doesn't sell them), and you may not get it back together (also, the plastic part may crack).

what is wrong with your car where you need to pull the intake manifold before going out for a night of racing?

You have to pull it as one piece and the bolts that hold the runners on are on the bottom. Joe is right, those seals are hard to find the if they are available at all. Good luck racing with a 4000# luxury car.

well he did say rice and not imports...

hopefully he is talking crap to all the civics and camerys with fart cannons one them and not sh!t talking any GTR owners

it also sound like he wont be trying to race any Vettes, maros, ponys, or SRTs...

nothing wrong with living your life a quarter mile at a time...

well until you wreck your half a million dollar porsche

Speed is relative. If it's friends siht-talking your "Town Car" from their #JDMbrah Civics, show them up. Or jsut have fun competing. Whatev, your life

But I'm also curious why you need to take the manifold apart. Last minute nitrous install?

Drop some mothballs or acetone in the fuel tank, that'll keep up with them Civics.

(Do NOT attempt, I am joking!)
