2004 LS Sport transmission issues? What issues have been identified?

i had similar prob, put in some 75w90 amsoil in rear diff and thier ATF and no more shudder.

...I replaced the other 7 plugs this weekend. The coils were relatively clean but some of the plugs had oil on them. Not sure what that means?...

It means you need to replace the valve cover gaskets.

This is not the yellow gasket on the access cover to the plugs you are referring to right but the valve cover gasket where it meets the head?

Yes, search for it. It is a common issue for 2000 to 2003 LS's. It also sometimes happens with 2004 and up.
