2004 lincoln ls v8 shaking very bad!!!

Possible bad harmonic balancer? Ford will sell an OEM part for over $700.

It is odd how this part can go bad suddenly...at least in my case it did seem sudden.

I am confused by this. When I look at this link, it's for a damper that fits some Ford V6s (at about the same price as the OEM Ford one), but isn't at all for the LS V8. Is there something I am not seeing?

When I was looking for the harmonic balancer, I checked my job first and we did have one for a Lincoln Ls v6 for $35, but for the V8s its a dealer only part
