Hi All.New here from Georgia.I just installed a new primary fuel pump in my Lincoln LS cause the fuel gauge was acting up.I have a Ford 2004 lincoln LS repair manual.I was surprised to find out it has 2 fuel pumps. The one on the driver side is called the transfer fuel pump. That is because of the way the gas tank is made.Gas on the driver side can not get to the primary pump cause the tank has 2 separate departments. So you have to remove both to get the primary one out.The transfer pump is obsolete, only way you can get one is from a used old one.Other one is easy to find.So under back seat has 2 openings for the fuel pumps. One pump has 2 fuel lines going to the transfer pump.
