2003 LS with 5r55n trans????

Does anyone else have a 2003 Lincoln LS V-8 with a 5r55n? My oasis report from Ford show my car to have an "N" not an "S". I'm getting ready to purchase a used transmission out of another 2003 and I'm really wondering if it will interchange? My car is like a Feb. build date, so it's a "mid" year build I would think.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

why not just put another 5r55n in?

the report is incorrect.

the 5r55n was never mated to the CAN system bus that all Gen2 have.

Thank you quickLS! I was skeptical about that. I was a ford tech for 7 years, but changed occupations in 2003. I still have some contacts in the business. I try to do most of my work myself still. I've searched and really haven't found anything online to distinguish externally by looking the difference between the N and S model trans. Like electrical connector differences,etc.

I know my car is CAN equipped because when I scan it with my Auto Enginuity it comes up as CAN equipped.
