2003 LS V6 Running like crap

I just had the catylic Converter Replaced, was running fine until this AM, car shakes every five seconds, and if I accelerate over 3000 rpm it sound like i am flooding or need a tune up. I have no CEL, what can it be?

Engine light luminated? I'm kinda having the same issues on my 2001. My manual says its b/c of poor quality gas or moisture in the tank. After or before three gas recycles i hope to be good

No check engine light, i hope its gas, i am down to a quarter tank, i was thinking about doing a fuel injection cleaner and some other additive and filling with premium and running the piss out of it on the highway.

Did some more research and called the dealer. indication that a coil is failing

the dealer just told me i need coils 4,5,6 and spark plugs they want 600 97 for each coil and 12 for each plug

You have a 03--there's supposed to be an extended warranty on coils and valve cover gaskets to 100k.

I asked him about that he said it was only for 8cylinders

Do yourself a favor... Replace all 6 coils and Valve cover gaskets.. (maybe spark plugs too). Buy everything online, either from rockauto, five star ford or Teamford. If you dont want to install it yourself get it done at a reputable mechanic. This will save you time and money.

and i still cant believe even the 03+ need this repair... i know its pretty much a guarantee for the gen1. Ford should have made a recall for this BS, it is a manufacturer defect

That extened warranty is for the V6's also. You better have them check the service bulletin on that.
