2003 lincoln ls my new toy

Hi everyone my name is Dewan, i just purchased a 2003 lincoln ls with 142k at a great deal ($2,600)but not sure if it was the best move due to the issues it has. I think i have a transmission issue which i was told that the mounts where bad thats why it shifted hard....shifts hard from 2nd to 3rd and also in the higher gears as well. I trusted the guy thinking maybe it was the mounts but now im second guessing it....As im looking at the posts on here about the same issues im having i know he lied about it. I guess this is still a great deal for the car.....the body is perfect just did a tuneup and oil change with synthetic oil myself but im not equipped for a trans issue...........This sucks alot...im thinking about purchasing the parts thats needed to rebuild it but really is it worth it if this will happen again in future....

Ohh yeah ima lincoln man thats my 1997 lincoln continental in the back....213k on the dash and still going strong......which makes no sense that the ls is having these issues....but hey what can you do when people dont take care of there cars....makes me mad........
