Anyone ever made the reflectors on the decklid light up or at least glow. I've always thought it was stupid to have a faux reflector made to look like a lamp.

Why did they do away with making these light up on the second gen model anyway?

My guess is cut costs.

I agree it is extremely weak for a 'luxury' sport car.

The only ways is low profile LED lighting or some major modifications to your trunk.

I had a 93 T-bird that had a lighted reflector on the trunk lid. It used LEDs. I mention this only because it was about the same thickness as the gen II reflectors. You might pull one of them apart to see how exactly it was done.

Thats what i love about cadillac's...they use LED's and are extremely bright.
