Hi everyone,

I know this has been discussed before, I've searched the archives and seen other people mention the same problem, but I didn't notice any clear answer to this.

When I use the memory option on my 2002 LS V8 (with command start, in case that matters) the position of the steering wheel is saved and works properly, however the seats do not respond to this at all. The easy entry option does the same thing, the steering wheel moves out of the way however the seat stays in place.

I've read that other people have had the same problem. Is it possible that the memory seats were not part of the memory option on this year, or that its been disabled somehow? Any one have any ideas?

Thanks,

Kevin

I have a 2002 LS V8 sport and mines works perfectly, both steering and seats move while pressing the memory buttons.

I suspect that your seat position sensors have failed. It seems to be a common problem as the LSs age. I don't know if the sensors can be cleaned and restored, or if they have to be replaced. I'm going to have to get around to looking at the ones in my 04 as it [easy entry seat] is now starting to not work sometimes.

i have the exact same model and my wheel moves every start upbut the seats will act up sometimes, i'll have to press the memory button for the seats to move.
