2001 Lincoln LS V8 with a 3.9L engine (tuned/chipped by Ford).

Car was rear-ended (see pictures for damage) but bumper and trunk is the only thing affected. Car drives and runs well (see below for other minor issues).

Car was recently inspected and has no check-engine light on nor any diagnostic trouble codes.

Vehicle has Sport package (suspension and exterior/interior trim upgrades) along with lots of factory options:

In-dash 6-CD changer, Air conditioning, Anti-lock brakes, Auto Headlamp Control, Automatic Dimming Mirror, Driver Seat Memory, Dual power seats with dual airbags and power lumbar supports, Electronic Compass, Fog Lights, Garage door opener, Heated Power Mirrors, Heated Driver and Passenger Seats, Leather Seats, Leather Steering Wheel, Locking Glove Box, Mirror Memory, Power Brakes, Power Door Locks, Power Moonroof, Power Steering, Power Windows, Premium Sound System, Rain-Sensing W/S Wipers, Rear Window Defroster, Side Airbags, Split Folding Rear Seat, Steering Wheel Radio Controls, Telescopic/Tilt Steering Wheel with Memory, Traction Control System.

The suspension and steering components have been upgraded to stock or better (all struts were replaced within the last 15,000 miles with OEM Ford/Lincoln sport package struts, ball joints and other suspension parts were replaced with MOOG problem-solver units within the last 20,000 miles).

-Engine timing chain plastic tensioners were replaced with newer type metal tensioners around 30,000 miles ago.
-New headlights
-Partial synthetic oil changes done every 3 to 4K miles
-Drilled/slotted rotors in the rear, new OEM rotors in the front
-1of the catalytic converters was replaced
-Engine was tuned by Ford dealership, has some very nice torque right off the line
-17" alloy wheels with Continental DWS tires with 60% tread remaining

The bad:
1. A/C holds a charge for only the summer but by winter it blows warm air again)

2. Car was rear-ended which caused damage to the bumper and trunk as well as pushed the rear passenger quarter panel forward a bit so that the rear-passenger door takes a bit more effort to open/close. Trunk will not open due to damage as well. Access to trunk is still possible through the folding rear seats.

3. There are no CEL codes on so the car will pass inspection but there is a warning in the vehicle information system display that reads "CHECK ADVANCETRAC" which relates to a wheel speed sensor I believe. Car has no trouble with traction but I never got the message looked at.

4. Car has a rust spot on the wheel well and paint is worn by the moonroof.

Great car for someone who wants to get the rear damage fixed up and drive a very nice sedan. Again, rear damage does not affect the car, it still runs and drives fine.

I've been talking to a local recycle guy regarding my 2004 LS that's not running, but has a perfect body. He offered me $300 and he would come and pick it up (Bergen County, NJ). He said there's no demand for LS parts.

He also offered me more money for my daughter's POS 2008 Mustang V6 convert, which does run (barely).

Ford dealer said they would give us something for the Mustang on a trade as long as we can drive it to the dealer.

My LS was never on ebay. The Mustang is a complete disaster, but at least it runs.

Local dealer has some kind of trade-in policy whereby they'll give me something for the car as long as I can drive it to them.

But, the question remains how does the trade-in factor in with the Ford Z plan discounted price?

I had this LS on eBay for some time but no one bid unfortunately. I've drastically lowered the price now. Any takers at below $1000? Please let me know.

I wish you luck, but I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw an LS on the road, and I live in very crowded north Jersey.

got any pics of the mustang, i remember you had the ls on ebay i was watching it

I'm trading in the Mustang towards a car for my daughter. Getting anything for that car is a plus.
