I have a strange one. I have a coolant smell outside the car when the car is running. I can't find a leak and am not losing coolant. I don't think it's a blown head gasket as oil and coolant are not contaminated and no bubbles in coolant while idling. When weather is better I will remove the spark plugs.

Are there any common leak spots I may be over looking?

Thanks

Go to your local auto parts store and buy some coolant dye.

Assuming you already have a corded light for looking around and under the car... buy a "black light" (bulb).

Pour the dye in the cooling system and run the engine. (you may have to put the car on ramps or jack stands to check underneath)

The dye should glow green, and you will hopefully be able to find the leak.
