I have a very weird thing going on with my ls it engages in every gear but won't move in d4 d5 or reverse just revs but I can drive perfectly fine using sst gears with no problem there is no dash warning no check lights car sounds normal no humming noises nothing in March I had a solenoid replaced check trans like came on before I replaced it replaced it had no issues until a month later gears went out while driving stopped driving it took it to a shop they said I was low on trans fluid by two quarts they refilled it gears are still out what could it be any one every experienced this before?

Just a complete guess, but since my 2001 has about the same age I would bet pretty safe one. The valve body likely needs rebuilt. You can look back in my threads and see some info on this, but in my case (same tranny gen1) the solenoids were not bad.
Any one that has a gen one I recommend heartily doing both when you go in there. Save time and money. I would also suggest inspecting the solenoid pack. If it was new, well its warrantied. If it was reman.......
