That is the one under the intake manifold. I have bought three coils to replace all on the pass. side, since the intake has to be taken down. What would the approx. labour cost be? What is resonable?

IDK but ive got the same problem and I'm gonna do it with a couple mechanic buddies....its cheaper than the lincoln places around here...be weary if you take it to the dealer

anything less than an ass pounding....Id say 200 bucks .... it'll take you a while from the looks of it...

While under there, put in a new PCV valve, new PCV hose, and new plugs. Also, get a new set of intake gaskets to save the cleanup time. If you elect to save the old gaskets, like I have done 2X now, you have to clean them with carburetor cleaner or intake cleaner in a can, and the gaskets get all coked up with intake manifold flakey hydrocarbon deposits. It is a nasty job, since you have 4 surfaces of gaskets to clean. It probably adds over an hour to the job (if it is your own and you want the gaskets back to stock cleanliness) so it probably makes sense to buy new ones. The old ones are 100% re-usable due to their design, which is silicone RTV rings bonded to hard plastic 1/4" thick (5-7 mm in Mississauga) , but it takes time to get the grime out. The pcv can only be serviced while the intake and fuel injection block are removed, and its service interval is just the same as the plugs, 100K miles (160K km). Overall, it as taken me 6-8 hours to get in there, clean gaskets, and get it back together, in the past. It saves time and messes to have a pair of bolts of sufficient diameter to plug the two coolant lines that pre-heat the throttle body, when it comes time to remove those hoses. This is not an easy job, due to the various things that have to happen in order to get the intake out. For instance, the wiper arms are supposed to be removed, and the cowl taken off, as well as the factory shock tower brace. That brace is held in by 7 bolts, I think, and on both of my attempts to remove it, only 2 or 3 bolts were actually able to be removed without breaking them. So there went another hour, dealing with drilling out and re-tapping or otherwise providing a means to re-secure that brace, which sits under that cowling. If you could do this job without removing that stuff, it would save time, but there is a lot of work that has to be done in the back end of the intake and fuel injector package and even with the access that removing the cowl provides, it is still a biotch to disconnect the large harness for the injectors. There is also a device back there that has to come out, maybe the fuel rail pressure regulator, which is a pain due to studs and nuts that face the firewall. I have no idea if it is possible to get that out with the cowl in place. On the PCV valve replacement, it is removed by turning the whole valve around 1/4 turn CCW, looking into its hose end. The hose that connects to it, a short hose with a 90 degree bend in its middle, should be changed at this time, also.

I would think that $200 would be an excellent price for the car owner to pay for this service, but it is worth at least $350 in labor, in my estimation. Changing all three of the coils and the plugs and PCV and hose is smart to do while this thing is apart.
