2000 LS Hydraulic Pump???

I am new to this site and know that there have already been posts on this subject, but I'm still a little confused so please forgive me. The cooling fan of my v6 has starting blowing too slowly to cool the engine properly so I'm guessing from all the previous posts that it's my pump. Now, I have seen here previously that the v6 and v8 supposedly have the same part but when I called Team Ford they gave me the part number yw4z8c628aa and when I asked if it was the same pump for the v8 they said no and gave me the part number yw4z8c628ba for it. I am a bit strapped for cash so I found this part at a salvage yard, but since I found the v8 pump quite a bit cheaper I am wondering if it will indeed work. Now by pump I mean the power steering like pump on the passenger side of the engine and not the fan motor. If someone could please help I would greatly appreciate it. Also if anyone has diagrams showing what they are talking about, that would help as well. Thanks again.

if you talked to a Ford representative and they said no then i'm pretty sure it's a no. who would best know this but them? they have the diagrams right there in front of them

Even the pulleys are not the same part number.

it's unique to the rear wheel drive V6 3.0 duratec - not even the Taurus with 95% of the same engine uses the same pump.
