Hello Everybody
just reaching out to see if anyone has any interest in purchasing a 2000 Lincoln LS. This car was my dads before he passed away. He was a Ford Mechanic for over 20 years before owning his own auto repair shop. This is the year the car had the Jaguar Engine. This car has a lot of power and handles great. At this point it has been in storage for about 2 years and I just need to rehome this car and get rid of my storage unit. I am a bit sentimental and don't just want to junk it. I'd rather it go to a good home if that makes sense.
Here's what I know about the car:
Bad news First:
It has the secondary cooling pump issue. Has not been driven hot. Wife picked up the kids at school. The Temp light was going up in the parking lot. She shut it off and called me. Coolant was leaking out. Her friend took her home. That evening we checked the car out. Figured out what was happening and towed it home and parked it. From there it sat in the garage until we moved it to the storage unit.
It's going to need a battery
It's going to need the gas drained and fresh gas put in it.
Here's the Good News:
It has a V8 Engine
I believe it's at 160K miles but not sure without putting a battery in it. It's been sitting for 2+ years in storage and I just can't remember. Could be more could be less.
Ran great
A/C worked good,
New tires,
No mechanical issues
Sunroof
Power Everything
Body is in fantastic shape (Getting dusty). Color White
All glass is good
Tinted windows
I really believe this car would be a lot of fun for somebody who wants to give it some time and attention. Unfortunately, I don't have the time, the money or the ability anymore to do this type of thing.
We drove it for several months before the secondary cooling pump went out (I'm sure everybody is familiar with this). We parked it and bought a minivan because my wife wanted one and it's more practical for a family of 5. It is just time for me to let to let this go and I hope someone here might be interested enough to maybe fix it and breath some new life into this sweetheart of a car.
Located just south of Knoxville Tennessee.
If you have any interest at all please reach out. Make me an offer and I'm sure we can work something out.
