I put the alternator on myself. Took about an hour. However, I had already upgraded the cable to 0 gauge. The alternator I got from Motor city reman uses the factory casing.
As to the output, I have not metered amperage yet with any more than 1/2 volume. But I am satisfied with the voltages I am reading so I probably won't mess with it.
