Howdy folks,

Of all the cars I've owned, the one I miss the most was my '03 Lincoln LS V6. With my eldest son being able to drive next summer and my fall back vehicle being a massive Yukon XL, I'm starting to watch FacePlace and occasionally check check the car listing sites for another cheap LS. Now it's going to have to be fairly cheap but it seems that even very low mileage ones are hovering in the $4-7k range which is slightly more than I'd like but not too bad.

I was completely happy with my 2nd Gen V6 but with a low price threshold I guess my thoughts are wider as what I enjoyed most was the size and the handling which is the same between the two generations and engines for the most part. Which is going to be more solid for the price and which is going to keep going on less specialized maintenance? I'm fully capable of swapping and engine or transmission but I'd rather not if you know what I mean. Doing stuff like pulling the intake to replace the plugs and resealing the intake actuators on the V6 doesn't bother me.

Thanks
