Price drop to $1,700 FIRM

Not sure if anyone is interested in this car but the price is now $1,700 FIRM.

Call 516-851-6276 if you are interested and have $1,700 in cash.

Thanks,

Rob

Seems to me the car was in a wreck. The front driver side is defected from the looks of the picture. The hood is raised up.

If the car is accident free a good scrubbing and a little minor work would make this a good deal. That hood should be able to be tweaked back into place fairly easily.

not a bad looking car and not a bad price....
I was interested until I got to the "coil conversion" part...I'll have to pass.

But I did send this page to a friend of mine that's looking for one...maybe he wont mind the "coils"..we'll see

whats the cars accident history?

I was told by the previous owner that the car was clean and that all of the paint, which is a special order color back in 1997 (costs $500 more), is original. I believe it because everything matchs up and there are no color differences between any parts of the car. I took a magnet and no bondo, overspray. rust or orange peel.

Is it missing a lug nut on the pass. side rear wheel?
Yes there are 1 lug nut missing from both drivers side and passenger side rims. They both broke off when I took them off to replace the rear shocks. $10 fix when the weather get nicer in NY.

If I don't get the $1,700 price for the car in whole by April, I will start to part it out and hopefully I can get $1,700 in pieces.

So please if people could start PM me with parts they want and prices they are willing to pay. I hope engine/trans can get me $500-$750 alone. You will have to come to NY to pull what you want. No shipping unless its small. After I get $1,700 I will just junk the car. Just need $1,700 and I am clear.

But lets hope I can sell it whole. I really don't feel like having to part it out and see a good car just parted out. Its a good car, not perfect, in nice condition, rides nice and its all there. For $1,700, I thinks a good deal.

Shame to see such a nice car, go down like this..

Someone could put $400-$500 into this car and have a nice bargain even though it is a base. Factory CD and heated seats are a plus. I would post a link to this in the regular Mark VIII forum, you might get more response.

I know a guy that would probably "buy it today" if it wasn't located nearly half a planet away

I also think that this car would go for over $2000 on Ebay.
