i am currently debating if i want 18s or 19s i dont want to go into 20s cause i think thats just 2 big and well 18s i kno mostly r gunna have a nice smoothe ride the rims arent gunna be to big but anyone with 19s...how does the car ride? is it still smoothe?

these are the two rims im debating between (which ones yous like better? i going towards the Giovannas but i dunno how good the ride will be)

I think the 19s would look better but I've been told by 2 different tire shops to go w/ 18s simply b/c 19" is an oddball sized tire and will cost you more. There are more brands/models available for the 18" than for the 19".

I thought 19's would be pretty expensive too but they are coming down in price. more and more OEM's are coming out with 19's like BMW and Audi. The 19 fills the wheel gap better.

I like the second one too, but the picture they have posted does not look like the wheel for the LS. The lip will be smaller because of our offset. The day I find a nice looking wheel with a lip like the one illustrated in the picture will be the day I sell the ones I have now.

Second one looks real nice. Go with the 19s even if they cost you a little more there worth it

It's a matter of your own personal choice here. So I won't put in my input as to what I like better because my taste might be different. Anyway, I recently had to make a choice somewhat like yours. I was going to order my tires, then next month I'm ordering my new wheels. Anyway I got to thinking about it and decided I'd better check tire price. Turned out that the 19" tires were a good deal more expensive (nothing like paying more for less material right?). So anyway, I went with the 18". It also has the added benefit of not only the softer ride, but the extra sidewall to take the abuse of pot holes and the like (instead of the wheel getting destroyed). Of course, in SC your roads are much nicer than up here in the salt covered state of Michigan so that might not even be a factor in your choice.

My brother in-law has the second ones in black and chrome lip. His are 19's and I would not go smaller, they are perfect size for the lincoln ls. And they look really good. Except it would look much better if you lowered it 1 inch with eibachs, because theres still a fairly large gap between the tire and the fender.

Here are 19" with 1.75" drop

i know 19 inch tires are much more expensive than 18 inch tires.. i heard odd numbers are tough to come by..

yeah i dont care to much bout the price of the tire when i need new 1s these come with tires so thats not my concern...and yeah im in cali working rite now for the next month so i wont be buying them soon but when i get back i will be buying a set...damn yy does this gotta be such a hard choice haha

19's and 20's feel fine I dont care what people say Ive been in a LS with 17's and it feels just like my 20's but I would go with the 19's if you dont want 20's. There are ways to figgure out how to get lips as big as those on a LS but it takes a Ma and Pa kinda joint to do it unless you can do it your self. Most Big name places wont do it, theyll get you the set but not put them on. Just look at the lip on the wheels that black LS has that everyone is drooling over.

This summer when I get my car lowered Im going to start experimenting with rolling pulling and streatching tires so I can get a bigger lip on my car.

As far as the wheels you posted I dont like either, mags with 5 points and stuff..IMO.. take away a part of the big bulky look of the car, you should go with a fuller figure wheel like mine or like "HYELIFELS", but it is your car so do what you want...:D

Well I had to edit this cause I miss read and thought you said you are in Cali as in living there but even in SC you can get a shop to do wheels for you with big lips. I was talking to people in a VIP car forum, the whole thing is almost all 19's with big lips no matter what offset, unless its a FWD or a HATCH BACK but take a look around cali a bit and look at all the little Civic Hatch backs with 6-7" lips. I got a guy that lives near me that I see all the time with gigantic lips on his 99 Civic hatchback, pluss if you can afford it someone told me that for some reason, you can get 2 or 3 piece wheels with huge lips for almost any offset. and if it is a big lip people are looking for and still doubt the offset, I seen lwheels where the center sits outwards on the lugs and the spokes or what have you go back into the wheel well area and it provides a really big lip.
