Hey guys,

2001 Lincoln LS
3.9L

I am getting 136* F air out of all my vents, at all times, even when the DATC is off. This is what I know:

Ran DATC self test, replaced interior temp sensor. These are the DTC codes that are still showing up:

1242, 1265

These codes are for the cold air bypass actuator, and recirculation door actuator, which my car is equiped with, unfortunately (wishing I had a gen II :P ).

Could one of these be the cause of the hot air, or something else that I don't know?

Also, I have replaced the DCCV with a brand new 4 seasons DCCV, and gave it a tune up with motorcraft plugs, and coils. All parts came from rockauto.com.

Thanks!!

Your DCCV is wide open. This could be because of a bad DCCV, a bad connector to the DCCV, A blown fuse to the DCCV/AC clutch power, bad wiring, or a bad DATC. It's all been covered many times.

The cold air bypass door and the recirculation door are not factors in this.

I was thinking it could be the DATC myself, but I will go do some testing now based on your advice.

I searched many times with google for the answer to this, hence why I replaced the DCCV, but none of the answers were sufficient for my situation. I have been searching for the answer to this question I just asked since I bought the car in June.

Now I am wondering if the DCCV was even bad to begin with... But to quote you "its one of those parts that is bad, is going bad, or will go bad." ;)

Thanks again for clearing that up for me.

Turns out that the connector was not connected all the way. I took it off, plugged it back in, and now everything is normal. I thought I plugged it all the way in though!

Sorry for cluttering up the board with the same old questions.
