$100 new headlights (gen 1) w/ angel eyes

i had started another post about this vendor selling the first gen headlights for $100. the lights came in and they were better than i expected. the quality was OEM. worth 100 bucks and more for sure. i took several pics and installed my angel eyes from my old lights. one of the rings is out though which pisses me off. don't know what wrong with it either. regardless, the lights are really nice. sorry for all the pics but i'm really happy about them. here's the link to the vendor

here's the one with the ring out. it really doesn't bother as much since my low beam doesn't really let you see it, but i still know it's out which does bother me

Well all of them had a crack like that actually which is why none of them worked but I would check for something like that. If it is cracked like that it would need to be replaced.

When I got mine from that rip off prick on e-bay a long time ago it had a very, very small fractures that could only be notice when held up to the light at the right angle. Well all of them had a crack like that actually which is why none of them worked but I would check for something like that. If it is cracked like that it would need to be replaced.

Are talking about the headlight or Angel Eye?

Well when I pulled mine off of the old lights the inside tube actually cracked so I had to splice together an old one, and I actually think it looks brighter than it did. I can see if I have an extra ring lying in my angel eyes kit as I have like 3 sets for extras, or talk to Ken as he will sell you just the new ring.

really? i should have just waited if he does sell them individually. o well. i already put the eyebrows on which makes me think i can't bake them anymore. thanks for the input, i thought maybe it might be something that didn't have to deal with taking them apart again.

Well I can tell you from personal experience, I have had to bake my lights several times with the rings in to open the lights and never had a problem. Do the eyelids go on the inside of the light? Also how do you guys get it so that you can take a pic of the front of the car with the angel eyes showing, mine are so bright they always seem to blur.

the eyebrows go on the outside and they seem like they would melt if i would put them in the oven. as far as taking the pics of the angel eyes i use the flash or else they do not show up, they would look like if i had hid's on my low's and high's at the same time.

Try setting your camera to "night mode" if it's a point-and-shoot (this should take the flash off and adjust the shutter speed and aperture automatically). If it's a DSLR, then you can put it into full manual mode to set the shutter speed and aperture with the flash off. I did that latter with my DSLR and used a tripod.
