    Hello all,

Been DDing an 06 LS V8 for the past 10+ years without much issues (other than the usual cooling system parts, trans solenoid, etc.)

Looks like my driver-side / LH rear door actuator failed (manual lock lever stuck in the UNLOCKED position, door still opens/closes normally either using the exterior door handle or the interior lever).

Not going to bandaid fix it, and just go a "new" latch assembly. Would anyone (perhaps master @joegr :) ) know the part #?
Found a bunch of threads here on LVC for Gen1s, but none for Gen2s.

Apparently the part # for Gen2 is 3W4Z-54203A29-BB.
Is this interchangeable with Gen1's 2W4Z-54203A29-AB or 2W4Z-54203A29-EA?
The 06 LS Workshop Manual only lists "54203A29" as the part # for LH rear :

    Many thanks in advance!

@joegr : Found your post regarding your 04's driver rear latch assembly :
    Rear door permanently locked.

Not sure why "2W4A-5426413-BB" is stamped on the latch assembly instead?

That part number is for part of the latch assembly, not the whole thing.
No, you can't use the gen I part, AFAIK.

6W4Z-5421813-B is what shows for the current correct part number. They don't make them anymore either. I think that any left rear latch assembly from an 03 to an 06 should work fine, even though there were some different part numbers. I replaced mine with a slightly different part, but it has worked just fine.

@joegr : Thanks for the info!

Have 2 sources lined up for the latch assembly - a yard in MS, and some random guy in Philippines.
Slim pickings elsewhere. If these don't pan out, might actually have to attempt a bandaid fix.
