Besides cosmetics what are the differences or pros or cons between the years! Im looking to buy one of the 2 but just want to make the right choice.I know i asked before i got a little info but i need more. Please and thankyou. The 05 LSE has Nav. HID's back-up sensor no heated rear seats has sunroof black with beige int. 06 no nav has HID's and back-up sensor sunroof and rear heated seats. Black with beige int.

Didn't you just have a thread about almost the same thing? Asking which to buy? The 06's were the last year made. Possibly the best ones too. But between the 05-06 the only thing you'll notice different is the 06 should have wood on steering wheel and shifter while the 05 will not have that.

But everything else mechanics and all should be the exact same. Some people just believe that the 06 is the way to go because it's the last year.

I would never posted a thread asking what car to buy. Pick one. It's your decision. All this info is avaliable on the web. Posting something like this makes you look helpless.

Didn't the 06's have a metal chain tensioner vs plastic prior years?

I believe so. So some say the 06 is even less likely to have issues then the 04-05. 03's were transition year still had some issues and 00-02 good luck with that' haha

WWOOOOOAAHHHH, easy tiger... Thats sort of the point of forums. wanting to make an informed decision before purchasing a vehicle is far from helpless... I wish more people would before going out and just buying the first thing they see.. There is alot of information not easily found on the web that would be nice to know before buying, such as the tensioners or perhaps the cop "recall" not being available on an 06. Yes, in the end its his decision, but nothing wrong with asking our opinion.... If this thread pisses you of that much then just dont post... pretty f'in simple... No reason to be an a$$ to this guy about it... Thought you would have figured that out by now...

Thank You!

thank you to me this would be the best place to find info from people that actually own and drive the car opposed to a test drive write up. I know its my choice. To me a forum is like a family where you are willing to help and not bash someone for asking! Thank you to the ones that help and to the haters keep hating!

Yes i did but i didnt get enough info so dont hate! Im just asking so relax im not here to piss you off but to hopefully join this LS family.

I'm not bashing. I just want to know how this thread is different from this one posted earlier this week from you.
saying he's hopeless for asking the difference is bashing. BUT...

Yes i did but i didnt get enough info

...reposting the same question is A. annoying to those trying to help, and B. clutters up the site when people go to search for an answer... Best to "bump" or ask for more input...

^^ G-RELL.
Agreed. I probably should not have said what I said. It's only 11:11 and already this has been a day from hell. And I think seeing the same thread posted twice within 3 days annoyed me and because of my bad day I just started talking out of my As$. Sorry. Really didn't mean to bash.

Bumping is best.

2006 without nav pros:

1 year younger.
Much easier to switch to aftermarket headunit.
Engine internal timing components may be better (not 100% sure of this).
Heated rear seat.

2005 with nav pros:
10 year / 100K mile extended coil warranty (not sure how this applies to Canada)

Also changes between 2006 LS and the LSE for 04/05 inclide: LSE had all red tail lights, lip spoiler, LSE floor mats and LSE only rims, the 06 had the same body kit as the LSE and 2006 only rims. Someone else already posted that the LSE had wood trim but leather shifter and steering wheel.

The gen II LSE is the only gen II model you could get the wood trim/leather teering shifter combo. Otherwise you had wood on doors, dash, steering and shifter or silver/black trim and leather on steering/shifter

but thats for another tread... (jacked)

j, most say just go with the 06, but drive them both and see what you think... not much difference between the two

thanks for the help. Not meaning to post whore. Just want as much info to make a good choice. Thank you again for the help I understand we all have bad days but take it out on those that deserve it. lol
