04 TC water in rear floorboard?!

I hopped in my grandfather's low mile 04 to go detail it and noticed a rather unhealthy amount of water in the passenger rear floorboard. Three gallons to be exact. After tracing the water, it seems to begin under the dash at the transmission tunnel on the passenger side.

What's causing all of this water?

That is such a funny picture in this situation because the person asked such a simple question. It really pokes fun at the silliness of the question because you can clearly see that George Bush is stumped, even though the answer is, as you said, "an easy one." That is clever.
