Okay, this site has been very informative. Thanks to you guys have learned about the "common" issues with the vehicle I own. I have replaced all six coil packs about 8 months ago, but this one has me scratching my head. Based on numerous posts here I thought that my AC not blowing cold was due to the DCCV having failed. The compressor appears to be working normally, it cuts on and off when you turn the AC on and off. I am pretty sure that there is freon in the system. So that led me to believe it was the DCCV so I replaced it (not near as hard as I thought it would be). That being said I got everything hooked back up, added coolant, ran the vehicle for about 15 - 20 minutes making sure that I ran the air out of cooling system. So that all being said the air coming out of the vents is blowing at 100 degrees. Does anyone have any ideas?

When my DCCV went it also blew a fuse under the hood. I'm not sure what it's called exactly but the mechanic changed that also and it took care of the problem

Thanks, not sure if I saw you post that somewhere else but I checked that before I replaced the DCCV.

bleed

did you bleed the system correctly? run the self diagnostic on the datc control panel, floor button and stop at the same time, then auto within 2 seconds, read codes.

my a.c just started to blow hot today and i hit the status button and it said a.c filter 5% i didnt even know cars had a.c filters would thid be the cause of my air blowing hot ?

No.
Your AC air filter is under the hood, by the windshield on the left side. Check your owner's manual for instructions, or search this site.

i know where it is i was jw if that would be the reason why its blowing hot

a/c filter

your a/c filter is located under the plastic cover near the passenger windshield wiper at the engine compartment. if you've never replaced it, now is the time. it is just a furnace filter like you have in your house. the warning is telling you to replace it soon, it will make the interior smell better and you will have less dust too. run the self diagnostic test on your datc get codes

Okay so here is where we are now! Have replaced the DCCV. I ran the self test on the DATC and it showed no faults. I even broke down and bought a can of r134a with a pressure guage on it at Wal-Mart and according to the shop manual it is running at the nominal pressure for the ambient tempature at the time I checked the pressure. I have no idea what to do now. I am afraid that I am going to have to break down and take the vehicle to the dealer.
