04 LS fuel filter

Trying to change the fuel filter on an '04 LS v6. One side of the filter has a plastic line going into it and the other has a metal line. How in the hell do you get these lines disconnected?

just did mine a few days ago, i thought both of mine were plastic. Anyway there should be green clips at the end. the clips could be a different color.




wait i didnt read that you had a v6, i dont know if it was the same

I think you need the disconnect tool for second gens

not on the v8, just pull the clips out carefully with a pocket screwdriver

Got the plastic side disconnected. Looks like I'll have to go get a disconnect tool for the metal side.

Yes on the V8s. At least both of mine.

Just get the one or two dollar disconnect doodad from a parts store, it makes it so easy.
