04 headlights on 00???????????

hey everyone! I tried searching but I couldnt find the exact answer to my question , So here goes nothing. Ok I have a 2000 ls and Im looking to get a set of 04 headlights (2ndgen) and I was wondering do you really need that mounting tab or can you still put the headlights on without it.?? Also hows the fitment if you absolutely dont use the mounting panel ???? And finally I want to know does the 04 headlights have the same turn signal bulb as the 00 headlight and also is the low beam the same???

Id say you really didn't do a search I typed in the search bar: HEADLIGHT and on the second page I got a lot of info.

As for your the mounting tab. Its called headlight mounting panel Yes you need it its what they mount to. You can't do it with out it. No healight mount panel no getting the lights on your car.

You have to take your front bumper off and you also have to modify the wiring.
The turn signal light is the same but everything else is different.
I don't remember if the low beam is the same I went OEM HID.
There are no gaps between the headlight and the bumper.
